In the area of Zagoria there is also the national park Vikos-Aoos with Vicos Gorge.

Vicos Gorge extends over 10 kilometers. Because of the more than 1000 meters precipitous rocks it is recorded in the Guiness Book as the deepest canyon in the world.

7 kilometers beyond Monodendri, there is a viewpoint with a great panorama. But the road is unpaved and gets worse from kilometer to kilometer.
